Comparison
Is FX Replay free? What it does, and what Tradoshi adds
Let us say it before anything else: FX Replay is a backtesting platform first, Tradoshi a trading journal first. Their own site describes it as “a browser-based backtesting and trading practice platform”. The two products overlap on two points, and they need naming: FX Replay has added a journal that already syncs cTrader and TradeLocker accounts, Tradoshi has added a replay backtest on its Pro and Premium plans. On replay, they go further than we do. Sourced on 10 September 2026 from their public pages.

Every price on this page is in dollars, on both sides, and no exchange rate is applied. FX Replay prices were read from their pricing page on 10 September 2026. It shows $15 and $29.16 a month by default: those are their annual prices spread over twelve months, the monthly prices being $17.99 and $35. Their paid plans can be tried for free with no card, but the trial length is not published. They also accept payment in cryptocurrency.
On price, FX Replay wins at every tier, and there is no arguing it. What changes is what you buy: there, $35 pays for a complete replay platform; here, $39.99 pays for a synced journal where backtesting is one module. If your need is to replay the market, they are cheaper and more complete. If it is to measure your real trades and your discipline, their grid has nothing equivalent to our check-ins, our discipline score or real challenge tracking.
2. The partner offer, in months of revenue
FX Replay publishes its schedule, and it is readable: “Earn 20% in recurring commissions for life when you refer users”. Their Partners program goes up to 25% recurring, provided you bring twenty new sales within three consecutive months. The cookie lasts 60 days and the referred user gets a 15% discount.
This time, the rival schedule beats ours at entry: 20% for life from the first sale, against 15% with us. We move to 20% from fifteen active subscribers and to 25% from fifty-one. Their upper tier is earned on a sales pace, ours on a number of active subscribers.
Comparing two percentages means nothing while the durations differ. The honest unit is months of the referred customer's revenue: it neutralises both the product price and the commission duration. Read it as: for a customer who stays N months, the partner has earned the equivalent of X months of that customer's revenue.
| Program | Stays 6 months | Stays 12 months | Stays 24 months | Stays 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FX Replay 20% (from the 1st sale) | 1.20 | 2.40 | 4.80 | 7.20 |
| Tradoshi 15% (from the 1st customer) | 0.90 | 1.80 | 3.60 | 5.40 |
| Tradoshi 20% (15 customers and up) | 1.20 | 2.40 | 4.80 | 7.20 |
| Tradoshi 25% (51 customers and up) | 1.50 | 3.00 | 6.00 | 9.00 |
The table says it plainly: at 20% against 15%, FX Replay pays out a third more of each customer's revenue, and the gap never closes over time since both programs pay for life. Our slightly higher prices narrow it without erasing it: 20% of $17.99 is $3.60 a month, 15% of $19.99 is $3.00. Their Partners tier is not computed here, because their page calls it recurring without writing its duration.
On our side, the commission lands on every payment collected, with a 30-day holding period and a €500 payout threshold. For a creator, the two recommendations do not really compete: a trader who backtests on FX Replay is still a prospect for a journal of their real trades.
3. Mentoring, and who pays for whom
The word “mentor” does appear on FX Replay's site, but it refers to an artificial intelligence: Mentor AI, which comments on your backtest sessions. Neither their pricing grid nor the feature pages read on 10 September 2026 describe inviting a human mentor, or sharing an account with an educator or students.
At Tradoshi, the mentor account is free, and the mentor is a person. The student is the subscriber, from the Pro plan up, and invites their mentor, who pays nothing to follow their trades and progress.
For a trader practising alone this line does not count, and their AI may be enough. For a school or an educator it changes everything: students can backtest on FX Replay and be followed on their real trades in Tradoshi, without the educator paying a subscription for themselves.

4. The full comparison, feature by feature
Every line comes from both public pricing pages, read on the same day. Nothing is pulled from a help centre on one side and a grid on the other: on unequal evidence, a comparison stops being honest. “Absent from the grid” means exactly that, not “does not exist”.
Replay and backtesting
Their trade, and they are ahead. Our backtest is a module of the journal, built to validate a strategy before trading it, not a complete simulation platform.
| What is compared | FX Replay | Tradoshi |
|---|---|---|
| Replay data | Tick, second-level timeframes on Pro | Minute-level, aggregated to your timeframe |
| Backtesting on the free plan | Yes, 2 sessions of 50 trades | No |
| Backtest strategies | 3 on Intermediate, unlimited on Pro at $35 | 10 on Pro, unlimited on Premium at $49.99 |
| Prop firm challenge simulator | Yes, rules enforced on historical data, from Intermediate | No |
| Simulated execution costs | Configurable spreads and commissions | Spread, slippage, commission and swap |
| Automatic break-even | Yes, from Intermediate | Yes, with partial exits |
The journal of real trades
The ground where the two meet. FX Replay already syncs cTrader and TradeLocker accounts, and that must be said. The difference lies in how many platforms are connected, and in what the journal then does with your trades.
| What is compared | FX Replay | Tradoshi |
|---|---|---|
| Journal included on the free plan | Yes, on every plan | Yes, with 1 synced broker |
| Synced platforms | cTrader and TradeLocker. MT4, MT5, NinjaTrader and Tradovate announced as “coming soon” | MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, IBKR, NinjaTrader, IG |
| File import | CSV from any platform, including MT4, MT5, NinjaTrader and Tradovate | Unlimited, from the free plan |
| AI analysis | Tag engine, and Mentor AI mainly on backtests | Oshi Coach on your real trades, from Essential |
| Prop firm tracking | Simulation only, according to their pages | Real challenge and multi prop firm (Pro) |
Discipline and psychology
None of this appears on their pages as of 10 September 2026. Their answer to psychology is to practise with no money at stake, ours is to measure what happens when there is some.
| What is compared | FX Replay | Tradoshi |
|---|---|---|
| Emotional check-in | Absent from their pages | Written, and voice from Essential |
| Discipline score | Absent from their pages | From the free plan |
| In-session guardrails | Absent from their pages | Live session (Premium) |
| Human mentor account | Absent from their pages, their “Mentor” is an AI | Free for the mentor |
Access and billing
They are cheaper at every paid tier, and we do not dispute it. Our only row here is mobile.
| What is compared | FX Replay | Tradoshi |
|---|---|---|
| Paid entry price | $17.99/mo | $19.99/mo |
| Most complete plan | $35/mo | $49.99/mo |
| Annual pricing | $180 or $350 a year | $199, $399 or $499 a year |
| Mobile app | None announced, browser-based product | Android published on Google Play, iOS not published to date |

5. What we concede to FX Replay
A comparison won on every single line is not a comparison, it is an advert. Here are the points where FX Replay is ahead, with nothing taken off.
The verdict
If you are looking for a replay tool, FX Replay is more complete and cheaper than our backtest, and we would rather tell you so. Tick data, twenty years of history, futures and stocks, a challenge simulator: our module does not have that depth. FX Replay answers “would my strategy have worked?” Tradoshi answers “am I really applying it, with real money?”: losing streaks, hours, emotional state, discipline, a real prop firm challenge. The backtest proves an edge exists, the journal proves you trade it. The setup that makes the most sense: backtest on FX Replay, trade and measure on Tradoshi.
Frequently asked questions
Is FX Replay free?
Yes, it has a free plan, Beginner, with no card and no end date. It gives two backtest sessions of fifty trades each, with one indicator, and it includes their journal. Tradoshi also has a free-forever plan with no card, but it journals: our backtesting starts on the Pro plan.
How much does FX Replay cost?
Sourced on 10 September 2026 from their pricing page: $17.99 per month for Intermediate and $35 for Pro, or $180 and $350 a year, which comes to $15 and $29.16 a month. That is cheaper than our paid plans at every tier, which are $19.99, $39.99 and $49.99 per month.
Does FX Replay offer a free trial?
Their pricing page announces a free trial on the paid plans, with no card, but does not publish its length. At Tradoshi, the free plan has no end date, so there is nothing to cancel.
Is FX Replay a trading journal?
Partly. It is a backtesting platform first, but its journal, included on all their plans, already syncs cTrader and TradeLocker accounts in real time. MetaTrader 4 and 5, NinjaTrader and Tradovate come in today by file import, their sync being announced as “coming soon”, and the CSV import accepts any platform. What you will not find there is the discipline layer: no emotional check-in, no discipline score, no tracking of a real prop firm challenge.
Is Tradoshi an FX Replay alternative?
Not for replay, and it is better to say so. Our backtest replays the market candle by candle, future hidden, with real execution costs, but it works on minute data and remains a module of the Pro plan. If replay is your main need, FX Replay is more complete. Tradoshi is an alternative to their journal, not to their simulator.
What does FX Replay do better than Tradoshi?
Five things. A deeper replay, tick-level and down to the second. Backtesting from the free plan. A prop firm challenge simulator on historical data. Lower prices at every paid tier. An interface in eight languages.
What does Tradoshi do that FX Replay does not?
Five things absent from their pages as of 10 September 2026: the written and voice emotional check-in before the session, the discipline score, tracking of a real prop firm challenge, in-session guardrails, and the free mentor account for a human educator. Add to that syncing MetaTrader, IBKR, NinjaTrader and IG: on their side, only cTrader and TradeLocker sync today.
