Comparison

Plancana vs Tradoshi

Plancana is the closest competitor to us on substance: its tagline is “AI-powered trading journal for emotional discipline”, which is exactly our promise. It is also a mobile app, billed through the app stores, by the week. That last point deserves some arithmetic, and that is what this page is about.

Pick Tradoshi ifyou want your broker to feed your journal from the free plan rather than the most expensive one, and you work at a desk rather than on a phone.

Every price on this page is in dollars, on both sides, and no exchange rate is applied. Plancana's annual figures are computed from their weekly display, over 52 weeks: 2.99 × 52 = $155.48 and 8.99 × 52 = $467.48. Their page also offers monthly and quarterly displays.

Two things hide behind the weekly display, and neither is a lie on their part: the framing does the work. One: “$8.99 per week” reads like a coffee, “$467 a year” reads like a decision. It is the same money. Two, and this matters more: broker sync is not in their middle plan. Their Basic at $2.99 analyses “trades you log”, so by hand. For the broker to feed the journal on its own, you need their top plan, $467 a year. With us it is there from the free plan, with one broker account, and three accounts cost $199 a year.

2. The partner offer, in months of revenue

Plancana shows a “Partner Program” in its footer, but no terms are published: no rate, no duration, no payout threshold. On top of that comes a mobile constraint: their subscriptions go through the App Store and Google Play, which take their own cut before anything is passed on.

Our schedule is public and pays from the first customer: 15% for life on every payment collected, 20% from fifteen active subscribers, 25% from fifty-one.

Comparing two percentages means nothing while the durations differ. The honest unit is months of the referred customer's revenue: it neutralises both the product price and the commission duration. Read it as: for a customer who stays N months, the partner has earned the equivalent of X months of that customer's revenue.

ProgramStays 6 monthsStays 12 monthsStays 24 monthsStays 36 months
Tradoshi 15% (from the 1st customer)0.901.803.605.40
Tradoshi 20% (15 customers and up)1.202.404.807.20
Tradoshi 25% (51 customers and up)1.503.006.009.00

The table only holds our rows, for lack of a published competing schedule. It reads in months of the referred customer's revenue.

No public schedule does not mean no program. What is verifiable is that no terms can be read before asking, and that app-store billing mechanically complicates any payout to a third party.

On our side, the commission lands on every payment collected, with a 30-day holding period and a €500 payout threshold.

3. Mentoring, and who pays for whom

Careful with the wording, it is confusing. Plancana's “Trading Mentoris not a person: it is the name of their AI assistant, free for three days then reserved for paid plans. There is nothing on their pricing page allowing an educator to follow a student.

At Tradoshi the mentor is a person, and their account is free. The student is the subscriber from Pro up and invites their mentor, who sees their trades, notes and progress without paying anything.

The two products use the word mentor for two different things, and that is the thing to remember. There, the mentor is an artificial intelligence. Here, the AI is called Oshi and the mentor is your coach. For a school the difference is not semantic, it decides everything: an artificial intelligence does not supervise a cohort.

4. The full comparison, feature by feature

Every line comes from both public pricing pages, read on the same day. Nothing is pulled from a help centre on one side and a grid on the other: on unequal evidence, a comparison stops being honest. “Absent from the grid” means exactly that, not “does not exist”.

Where broker sync sits

This is the line with the heaviest consequences, because a journal filled by hand ends up not being filled. There, sync is reserved for the most expensive plan.

Emotional discipline, on both sides

Shared ground, and it should be said plainly: they have been there since 2024 and it is their main promise. The difference is in how the trader's state is captured.

5. What we concede to Plancana

A comparison won on every single line is not a comparison, it is an advert. Here are the points where Plancana is ahead, with nothing taken off.

They have owned the emotion ground since 2024, before usTheir tagline is “AI-powered trading journal for emotional discipline”, and it is not a recently added checkbox: it has been their product for two years. Claiming we invented this positioning would be false.
They bill weekly, we bill monthly$2.99 a week is decided without thinking, where $19.99 a month gets compared to a subscription. On the barrier to entering a paid plan, their pricing cadence beats ours.
Their mobile app is published, ours is notOn both stores since 2024. For a trader journaling from their phone, it is currently the only one of the two that exists.
The trading plan generator is free from their free planOurs needs a paid plan: the daily recommendation starts at Essential, and our free plan carries no Oshi analysis at all.
In-app billing removes a frictionNo card form to fill in, one button and it is done. That is a real conversion advantage we do not have.

The verdict

The tagline is the same, the products are not, and the table above says so line by line. What gets compared is not the promise, it is what the promise delivers once paid for. Where does broker sync start? Here on the free plan, there at $467 a year, and that is the most concrete gap on this page. At a comparable price, what do you get? Their top plan at $467 syncs four platforms. Our Premium at $499 adds backtesting, Trade Review on the real chart, prop firm challenge tracking, unlimited accounts and more than 2,000 brokers. Is your mentor a person? Their “Trading Mentor” is an artificial intelligence: if a coach follows you, they see nothing there, and they see everything here without paying. One question leans clearly their way, and for many people it settles the matter on its own. Which screen do you journal on? If it is a phone, their app exists on iPhone, ours does not.

Frequently asked questions

What does Plancana really cost per year?

Their prices are displayed per week. Over 52 weeks, the Basic plan at $2.99 comes to $155 a year, and the Pro plan at $8.99 comes to $467 a year. The arithmetic is ours, from their display recorded on 2 August 2026; their page also offers monthly and quarterly displays.

Does Plancana sync my broker?

Only on its most expensive plan. Their page states that the Basic plan gives analytics “for trades you log”, so by hand. MetaTrader 4 and 5, ByBit and TradeLocker sync is reserved for the Pro plan at $8.99 per week, which is $467 a year. At Tradoshi, sync is included from the free plan, with one broker account, and the entry plan at $199 a year allows three.

Is Plancana's “Trading Mentor” a real mentor?

No, it is the name of their AI assistant, free for three days then included in paid plans. Nothing on their pricing page lets a human coach follow a student. At Tradoshi the AI is called Oshi and the mentor is a person, whose account is free.

How many brokers does each support?

Plancana announces four: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, ByBit and TradeLocker. Tradoshi announces more than 2,000 brokers and publishes the list of 2,024, name by name, with a proof PDF and each connection mode, 98 of them on a direct broker API.

What does Plancana do better than Tradoshi?

Five things. A trading plan generator free from their free plan. A mobile app published on both stores since 2024, while ours has been on Google Play since 20 August 2026 and is not on iPhone yet. In-app billing, with no card form. Weekly billing, which lowers the step up to a paid plan. And a two-year head start on the emotional discipline positioning.

Method and sources. Every figure attributed to Plancana was read on 2 August 2026 on its own public pages, in the served HTML, and not taken from a third-party comparison: plancana.com/pricing. The “absent from the grid” statements were obtained by counting term occurrences in the served page, not by eye. The months-of-revenue values are computed from the published schedules on both sides, month by month, not typed by hand. A publisher's pricing can change without notice, sometimes overnight: when in doubt, the Plancana page prevails over this one.
