Comparison

Tradoshi vs TradeZella

TradeZella is the best known trading journal on the market, and it has earned that. This comparison is not here to tear it down: it puts both offers side by side, line by line, from both public pricing pages read on the same day, with the date shown and a list of what TradeZella does better than us.

Sourced on 2 August 2026

Pick TradeZella ifyou want tick-by-tick replay with Time & Sales and Level II, automated backtesting written in plain English, a built-in university and the biggest brand on the market behind you.
Pick Tradoshi ifyou want to pay roughly half at every tier, connect three accounts on the entry plan, bring your mentor in for free, and be tracked on your emotional state before and during the session, not only after.
Either wayyour broker syncs on its own and your journal fills itself with no manual entry. That stopped being a deciding factor in 2026, it is the baseline.

Every price on this page is in dollars, on both sides, and no exchange rate is applied. Their annual discount is 25%, ours charges ten months out of twelve.

The costliest line is not the headline price, it is the single account on TradeZella's entry plan. A trader following two accounts, or running a prop firm evaluation alongside a personal account, cannot stay at $35: they must move up to $59, which is $708 a year. With us, three accounts are included from $19.99.

2. The partner offer, in months of revenue

On its partners page, TradeZella's headline reads: “Earn up to 30% commission for a full year”. Its FAQ repeats it: “you'll earn 30% of the revenue for the first 12 months for every customer who signs up using your link”.

The grid published right below says something else. The starting tier, “Base”, has no commission cell at all: until you bring in a paying customer, you earn nothing. And the 30% only unlocks at ten paying customers. Below that it is 20% for six months, then nothing, permanently.

Partner sizeTradeZellaTradoshi

51 to 99Silver: 30% for 12 months25% for life
100 and aboveGold: 30% for 12 months, then 10% for life25% for life

Comparing two percentages means nothing while the durations differ. The honest unit is months of the referred customer's revenue: it neutralises both the product price and the commission duration. Read it as: for a customer who stays N months, the partner has earned the equivalent of X months of that customer's revenue.

Tradoshi 20% (15 customers and up)1.202.404.807.20
Tradoshi 25% (51 customers and up)1.503.006.009.00

A note on the Gold tier: TradeZella's grid shows “30% for 12 months + 10% lifetime”, while its own FAQ describes that tier as “10% lifetime commission”. Both wordings sit on the same page. We used the reading most favourable to TradeZella, the one from the grid.

For a partner bringing in fewer than ten customers, which is the vast majority of creators and educators, TradeZella pays the equivalent of 1.20 months of that customer's revenue, then stops for good. Tradoshi pays 0.15 month every month, with no end: the two draw level in month 8 and Tradoshi is ahead from month 9, and the gap never closes again. After three years the same customer has produced 1.20 months with them and 5.40 with us.

This argument has two real limits. One: TradeZella charges more, so its percentage applies to a bigger base; at an equal number of customers, the first months pay better there. Two: their brand converts better, the same traffic will produce more customers. Our advantage is structural, not immediate: it only pays if the customer stays.

Other terms recorded on their side: a 60-day cookie, payouts through PayPal or Wise, net 45 days after month end, and commissions that stop if the customer is refunded. On our side, the commission lands on every payment collected, for as long as the customer stays subscribed.

3. Mentoring, and who pays for whom

On TradeZella's grid, the “Mentor Mode” row reads Join on the entry plan and Invite & join from Pro upward. In plain terms: on the $35 plan you can join someone else's space, but you cannot invite your student. To be the mentor, you need the Pro plan at $59 per month. The $99 Ultra plan is the only one that says “unlimited”, which implies a cap on Pro, a cap published nowhere.

At Tradoshi the billing runs the other way: the mentor account is free. The student is the subscriber, from the Pro plan up, and they invite their mentor, who pays nothing to follow them.

This one detail decides an entire channel. An educator following thirty students pays $708 a year at TradeZella for the sole right to watch them trade, on top of what their students already pay. With us they pay zero. No training organisation charges its teachers for the right to mark papers, and that is exactly what they are asked to do elsewhere.

4. The full comparison, feature by feature

Every line comes from both public pricing pages, read on the same day. Nothing is pulled from a help centre on one side and a grid on the other: on unequal evidence, a comparison stops being honest. “Absent from the grid” means exactly that, not “does not exist”.

Accounts and syncing

Both products sync the broker on their own: nobody retypes trades by hand in 2026. The gap is in how many accounts each tier allows, and that is the number one upgrade trigger on both sides.

Artificial intelligence

Both meter AI in credits. The difference is not the volume, it is what the entry plan unlocks: at TradeZella the three automatic agents are reserved for the $59 plan.

Psychology and discipline

This is where the gap is widest, and it is verified by absence: the words “emotion”, “voice” and “check-in” do not appear once on TradeZella's pricing page. Their AI analyses the trade after the fact. Ours steps in before, and during.

5. What we concede to TradeZella

A comparison won on every single line is not a comparison, it is an advert. Here are the points where TradeZella is ahead, with nothing taken off.

They cover brokers we do notThe raw number favours us, but the number is not the question: the question is whether your broker is there. TradeZella connects Schwab, Robinhood, TradeStation and DXtrade, which we do not. If you trade at one of those, the question is settled before you compare anything else. Worth noting all the same, because they document it themselves: their Robinhood access runs on your credentials and a two-factor code, not on an official API.
Their replay and AI backtesting have no equivalent hereSecond-level replay with Time & Sales and Level II, and backtests written in plain English then run across years of history, are two things we do not have. For a scalper working on second-by-second execution, that is a real reason to pick them.
They have a university and community spaces, we do notZella University is included on every plan of theirs, and their Spaces let you run a private community inside the product. We have public guides and a glossary, which is not the same thing.
Their social proof is in another league4.8 out of 5 across more than 900 reviews, with years of usage behind it. We are starting out, our reviews can be counted on one hand, and a verified review beats a promise. There is no clever answer to that, other than earning as many.
Over the first year, a large partner earns more with themFrom ten referred customers upward, their 30% over twelve months pays more than our 15 to 25%. Our advantage only shows up afterwards, and only if the customer stays.

The verdict

Both products journal, analyse and sync your broker equally well: on that foundation there is no winner, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. The choice comes down to three questions. What are you trying to fix? If it is second-level execution, their replay is better. If it is discipline and risk, everything that acts before and during the trade sits here. How many accounts do you follow? Past one, their entry plan no longer covers you and the price gap doubles. Is someone coaching you? If you have a mentor or a school, the free mentor account changes the maths for them as much as for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tradoshi cheaper than TradeZella?

Yes, at every tier. The entry plan is $19.99 per month against $35, the mid plan $29.99 against $59, the top plan $49.99 against $99. The most useful gap is not the price itself but the number of accounts: three accounts are included on our entry plan, against one at TradeZella. A trader following two accounts has to move up to $59 there.

What is the real difference on mentoring?

Which side pays. At TradeZella, inviting a student requires the Pro plan at $59 per month, so the mentor pays. At Tradoshi the mentor account is free and the student is the subscriber. For an educator following thirty students, that is $708 a year on one side and zero on the other.

Does TradeZella offer a free trial?

No trial is announced on its pricing page as of 2 August 2026: the words “trial” and “free trial” do not appear on it once. Tradoshi offers a seven-day free trial, with a card required to open it and cancellation possible at any time before it ends.

Does the TradeZella partner program really pay 30%?

Not for everyone. Its page announces up to 30% for a full year, but its grid reserves that rate for partners who have referred at least ten paying customers, and the starting tier pays nothing at all. Between one and nine customers it is 20% for six months, then nothing. The Tradoshi program pays 15% from the very first customer, for life, then 20% at fifteen customers and 25% at fifty-one.

Does TradeZella have a mobile app?

No. As of 2 August 2026 there is no App Store or Google Play link on their site, and the words “iOS”, “Android”, “App Store” and “Google Play” appear nowhere on their pricing page. A Play Store search returns no result under their name.

Is TradeZella available in French?

No. Their site declares itself in English and publishes no hreflang tags, so no French version exists. Tradoshi is bilingual, app and site, from the first screen through to the contractual documents.

What does TradeZella do better than Tradoshi?

At least five things. Wider broker coverage, including Schwab, Robinhood, TradeStation and DXtrade which we do not have. Second-level trade replay with Time and Sales and Level II. Automated backtesting described in plain English. A built-in trading university and community spaces. And social proof in another league, 4.8 out of 5 across more than 900 reviews.

Method and sources. Every figure attributed to TradeZella was read on 2 August 2026 on its own public pages, in the served HTML, and not taken from a third-party comparison: www.tradezella.com/pricing · www.tradezella.com/partners. The “absent from the grid” statements were obtained by counting term occurrences in the served page, not by eye. The months-of-revenue values are computed from the published schedules on both sides, month by month, not typed by hand. A publisher's pricing changes without notice, and this one raised all three of its plans overnight on 16 July 2026: when in doubt, the publisher's own page prevails over this one.
