Lightyear trade history

On its website, Lightyear describes itself as an investment platform and lists US, European and UK stocks, ETFs and money market funds. Its help centre describes four statements, including the account statement, which shows all your transactions: orders, dividends, interest, deposits and withdrawals. On the web, you find it in Settings, under “Account”; in the mobile app, in the Transactions view, under “Statements”. That statement, in CSV format, is what you drop into Tradoshi: the journal builds your trades from it and creates one account per currency.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tradoshi connect to my Lightyear account?
No, and that is worth stating plainly: there is no connection between Tradoshi and Lightyear. You export your account statement, drop in the file, and Tradoshi reads it. We ask for no password and no API key, and no order can ever be placed.

Why does Tradoshi create one account per currency?
A Lightyear statement can mix dollars, euros and pounds, with no exchange rate for each order. Rather than convert blindly, Tradoshi puts the trades of each currency in their own account, “Lightyear USD” or “Lightyear EUR” for example: every result stays exact in its own currency.

Which period should I export?
A period that starts before your first purchase. A trade's result is calculated between the buy and the sell: if a stock is sold in the statement but was bought before it starts, its purchase price is not in the file. Tradoshi then sets that stock aside and names it, rather than show a made-up result.

What happens to my interest-earning cash, my dividends and my open positions?
Moves into money market funds, dividends, interest, conversions, deposits and withdrawals are not trades: they are not imported, and Tradoshi tells you how many lines it set aside. A position that is still open will enter the journal the day you sell it.

Is my Lightyear data safe?
Yes. Tradoshi only ever sees the file you drop in, nothing else: no Lightyear credentials reach us and nothing links Tradoshi to your account.
