Connect MetaTrader 4 or 5 to Tradoshi

One method for 350+ brokers. Your investor (read-only) password is all it takes: Tradoshi reads your history and keeps it updated on its own, without ever being able to touch your account.

Before you start

  • A trading account with any MetaTrader 4 or 5 broker (nearly the entire forex market).
  • Your account number, your broker's server name, and an investor (read-only) password.
  • The investor password is different from your main password: it can only read, never trade.
1

Get your investor password

In your MetaTrader platform: Tools → Options → Server (or Change Password), pick the “Investor (read only)” type and set it. Some brokers email it to you when you open the account.

2

Note your server name

It's the server shown at the bottom of your MetaTrader window, or under File → Login to Trade Account (e.g. ICMarkets-Live12, Pepperstone-Edge01). Tradoshi recognises most servers automatically, just start typing your broker's name.

3

Enter the account in Tradoshi

In Tradoshi: Import / Connect → + Add an account → MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 → Auto-sync. Enter your account number, pick your server from the list, and paste your investor password.

4

Sync

Click Connect & sync. Tradoshi pulls your history, your orders (stop loss included), your currency and your balance. After that the sync runs on its own, every day.

Prefer not to connect? Import your statement

You can also export your MetaTrader statement (right-click the history → Report → HTML) and drop it into Tradoshi. We read your trades, fees included, and recompute everything identically. Works with any MT4/MT5 account.

Troubleshooting

  • “Server not found”: type the first letters of your broker's name to let Tradoshi suggest the right server; copy it exactly as in MetaTrader (capitals and dashes included).
  • “Credentials rejected”: check you're using the investor password, not the main one, and that the account number matches the right server (demo vs live).
  • My latest trades are missing: run the sync again. It never creates duplicates, an already-imported trade is skipped.

Security: what Tradoshi can and cannot do

  • Read-only. The investor password cannot place, modify or cancel an order.
  • Your password is encrypted server-side, never stored in plain text.
  • You can cut access anytime by removing the connection in Tradoshi.
